Why we started a travel blog

This is why we started a travel blog:

Nฤ Pali coast taken from the Kalalau Trail

Our honeymoon destination was to Hawaii for the first time and our time there, especially on the island Kauai, influenced our wanderlust ambitions.  Between the both of us we have traveled around the United States, including Arizona, California, Nevada, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Florida, Montana, South & North Dakota, Illinois, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Washington, and Massachusetts.  Experiencing a tropical island that is apart of the United States yet felt like a whole other country in some aspects, and we asked ourselves this frequently the first couple days while gathering our bearing of the island. This all really opened our eyes up to other travel possibilities. Do they speak English in Hawaii? Yes, but they also speak Hawaiian and have their own slang terms that most people are unaware of.  Do they eat typical American food? Yes, but they have their own twist such as serving rice for breakfast, kalua pork, and fresh fruits are available everywhere. Is the lifestyle different? Yes, we found out island time is a real thing and we embraced it. Were we prepared for these differences before landing in Oahu? Somewhat, but the experience can be indescribable and thatโ€™s what we became addicted to.

Facebook and Instagram can only hold so much, and when you are in the moment, posting everything right then and there doesnโ€™t seem right.  You need time to reflect on your day, on your travels, the languages you encountered, the food you tasted, the challenges you were faced with.  We started a travel blog to be able to share our experiences with everyone who may be interested in them while being honest and deep with our reflections. There is so much that happens when you travel to another country or to another state and there are so many photographs taken that it can be overwhelming, especially when you are trying to explain to people who ask tons of questions, then your brain just freezes.  The travel blog allows us to get our thoughts and experiences out the way we want to, but ultimately, we want to help others in achieving their travel dreams. We have learned that resources are unlimited and the only thing holding you back is the space between your finger and the enter button while staring at the airline ticket pageโ€ฆwith our experiences we want to prove to others that ANYONE can travel, they just might need a little nudge to do it.

Sushi Girl was basically a hidden gem, we believe the store front is gone now, but they may have a food truck around Kauai somewhere

We get asked questions of how are you able to do these trips?  How can you afford this? Why are you choosing that country? Well, with the help of our new creation of a blog, we will be able to answer these FAQs along with our own tips and advice.
