Three Amazon necessities for traveling internationally

Everyone loves Amazon due to its simplicity and convenience and we recommend purchasing items via Amazon or any ecommerce site that offers expedited shipping. The main reason we recommend this is because we currently plan our trips while working full time which doesnโ€™t allow us a ton of time to go out shopping at brick and mortar stores. This small amount of time we save allows us to plan, create and dream of our travels more often, which we obviously thrive on. Anyways here are the three purchases we recommend:

1) A power plug adapter is a must obviously because we need the ability to charge our cameras, computers, and phones. A charged device is the best device especially in another country. This adapter was an easy pick with 4 USB plugs allowing us to charge multiple devices at once. We only purchased one, but you are able to purchase in 2 packs for the couple travelers or if you may find yourself with more than 4 devices.

We got to admit that we also were easily persuaded to pick this adapter as it had plenty of reviews along with high reviews. (We are big fans of reviews). Funny enough even our brother/brother-in law purchased us a second adapter as a Christmas gift due to these same reviews. Find the adapter on Amazon here (Power Plug Adapter – International Travel – w/USB Ports Work for 150+ Countries)

Small disclosure is we have only used the EU adapter so far in Spain, Belgium and Netherlands, but we will be trying it out in Singapore this February along with Japan in March.

2)RFID Passport Wallet: We did quite a bit of research on passport wallets, belts and neck cases. We had no idea what route we wanted to go as we didnโ€™t want to be the typical tourist with their whole life wrapped around their neck. No offense if this is how you travel, but we found that these neck cases did not provide RFID protection on credit cards and left all your valuables pretty much in plain site stating you are a tourist to any potential thief.

This is how we ended up purchasing both a belt to hide our valuables if we felt we would be in an area or situation that would be necessary. (EZ-Traveler RFID Belt) We also found that there was a TON of different styles and options on traditional passport wallets out there. We ended up coming up with a basic criteria to choose: 1. RFID 2. Card, Cash & Ticket Slots 3. Booklet Style. Once we met those criteria we choose what fits our personalities best. It seems only one is currently available on Amazon so here is that link: Casmonal-Passport Wallet RFID Blocking Travel Document Organizer

3) Carry on luggage is our last necessity. We were told by Brentโ€™s grandma that carrying on luggage would be a blessing and we found in Europe that was a definite fact. Lugging a full size suitcase on any public transportation would have been near impossible due to the overhead bin and seat size constraints. The carry on also forced us to actually wear what we brought. When we traveled before the carry ons we always over packed and never wore everything we brought. There is nothing worse than feeling like you wasted time, money and effort packing or planning something you donโ€™t use.
We can say that we may be upgrading our carry on luggage to some higher end brands with this year of travels ahead, but for a convenient starter bag we have personally used this one (Samsonite Omni Hardside Carry On). We can confirm there were no issues with expanding it and fitting on Delta, American and Southwest Airlines so far. These were mainly 737s, 767s and A330 aircrafts for the AV Geeks out there.
