Day Two
We had a late start to our day due to the jetlag, but our first stop was Satan’s Coffee for breakfast and coffee. We had espresso and chia pudding breakfast with yogurt, dark chocolate, and a sweet syrup.
We decided to wander around Las Ramblas which we walked through La Boqueria Market which was an amazing experience to see all the juices, meats, fresh produce, and places to sit down and enjoy a meal or tapa inside the market (mercat).
We continued our journey to Plaรงa de Catalunya where we rested and enjoyed the beautiful statues, fountains, and a huge crowd of pigeons.
So much walking we were getting hungry! We stopped into Tapa Tapa and ate a few different tapas (small plates/appetizers) and enjoyed a mug of cold crisp beer. Stepping onto the cobble streets we ventured into Alsur Cafรฉ to drink cafรฉ con leche (coffee) and some craft beers.
We made our way back to the hotel and enjoyed tinto de veranos (which was recommended by a friend) at the rooftop bar ate lamb tapas. After all of the walking we had done, we decided to eat dinner in a restaurant inside our hotel and ordered the specials of the day: chicken croquets and pesto, onion pizza, red wine, and finished it all off with a dessert of yogurt ice cream, plantains, and cake!
