Day Seven
Our last day! No plans again, we just wanted to take in the last full day of Barcelona to remember it forever. We walked to Casa Lola and ordered a tortilla patata (Spanish omelet) and a chicken & sausage paella. As we ate our meals we gazed at the surround tapas that looked so tempting to get.
We headed into a large park full of gardens, sculptures, music, dancing, venders, ponds, even beer! We had ventured into Ciutadella Park (Parc de la Ciutadella). The park is absolutely gorgeous and it is made for long walks, highly recommend a visit to dive into the casual culture of Catalans. A big thing difference we noticed from home is that dog owners walk their dogs rarely with a leash! Their dogs would step beside them and stay by their side all over the city, we also noticed that many people do not run up to other’s and try to pet their dogs.
We left the park to grab a bite to eat, we had stopped at a pub called Pitin Bar. We had cara cervezas and frankfurt & jamรณn ibรฉrico sandwich.
This last day became cooler compared to the rest of our trip so we ended up spending the night in the hotel, but first for dinner we pasta take away at Maccaroni and grabbed a bottle of wine.
